I finally made it to Bottega Louie last week and, thankfully, it did not disappoint… though I didn’t actually sit and eat! I wanted to stop in quickly to grab breakfast and was hoping there would be take-away options…. and there were!
However, this place has it all: A large sit down/restaurant area, an expansive menu. A bar. A cafe. And again, a take-away section with not just pastry and breads, but with health juices and salads, too.
It’s no wonder it’s quite popular– it always seems to be full.
Plus, the location is nothing short of amazing! In central Downtown and housed in an early turn-of-the-century historic building, the John Brockman Building. In fact, it reminds me of a similar restaurant, also architecturally speaking as far as the first level space goes, called Velódromo in Barcelona.
Here´s what I ended up getting last week. And I know I´ll be back for more. Next time, hopefully sitting and eating– I’ve heard brunch is good, though perhaps a tad overpriced.

Also, here is a link to my review on Yelp and to other reviews on Trip Advisor. I gave it 5 stars for the macarons. They aren’t quite as light as the famous Ladureé ones in Paris, but they are still tasty and original!
And what do you know? I also found this fantastic blog post on Picking A Macaron From Bottega Louie. (Los Angeles, I’m Yours, is bound to become a favorite, by the way!)
Hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you make it there soon.
